THE OPPORTUNITY
CHAN is seeking a creative, digitally savvy, and results-oriented Digital Communication and Media Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing CHAN’s digital presence, producing compelling content, and ensuring a consistent, professional brand identity across all platforms and outputs.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
| DIGITAL PRESENCE & ENGAGEMENT
Manage and grow CHAN’s digital presence across the website, social media platforms, and email communications. Develop and implement digital strategies to increase reach, visibility, and audience engagement. |
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Develop and disseminate high-quality visual and multimedia content reflecting CHAN’s mission, values, and programmatic work across all digital and print channels. |
| DONOR VISIBILITY & COMMUNICATIONS
Support donor visibility and communications requirements for funded programmes, ensuring timely production of reports, updates, and promotional materials that meet partner standards. |
BRAND & CAPACITY BUILDING
Maintain a professional, consistent brand identity across all CHAN outputs and platforms. Build internal capacity in digital communications among CHAN staff and member institutions. |
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Manage CHAN’s website content — update pages, upload resources, and ensure information is accurate, current, and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Plan, produce, and schedule content for CHAN’s social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), including posts, graphics, short videos, and stories.
- Design and distribute CHAN’s e-newsletters, programme updates, and stakeholder email communications.
- Develop high-quality visual and multimedia assets — including infographics, photographs, video edits, and presentations — for internal and external use.
- Support the communications and visibility requirements of CHAN’s funded programmes, producing donor-compliant materials and reports as required.
- Maintain a consistent brand identity across all CHAN platforms and communications outputs, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Facilitate digital communications training and capacity-building sessions for CHAN staff and member institutions as required
- Monitor and report on digital analytics (web traffic, social media metrics, email open rates) and use insights to improve performance.
- Coordinate with programme teams to document and share impact stories, case studies, and field updates.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of CHAN’s communications objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
| REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Graphic design or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in digital communications, media production, or a related role. Demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms and produce high-quality digital content. Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) photo and video editing software. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to write clearly for diverse audiences. Familiarity with web content management systems (e.g. WordPress) and email marketing platforms. |
PREFERRED
Postgraduate qualification in Communications, Development Communication, or a related field. Experience working with an NGO, faith-based organisation, or international development programme. Knowledge of donor visibility and communications requirements (e.g. EU, USAID, FCDO branding guidelines). Photography or videography skills, with a portfolio of relevant work. Experience delivering training or building communications capacity in a team or institutional setting. Familiarity with digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.). |
