CHAN MEDI-PHARM LTD/GTE is a private not for profit, charitable, faith based non-governmental organization (NGO) registered in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 1990 to promote equity and access to quality health care products and services in Nigeria and elsewhere.

CHAN Medi-Pharm started in 1979 as a division of Christian Health Association of Nigerian (CHAN) and was known then as CHANPharm. Established as an ecumenical drug supply organization, CHANPharmwas founded by three prominent church bodies; namely:

• The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN),
• The Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), and
• The Northern Christian Medical Advisory Council (NCMAC).

The main thrust of CHANPharm, was to coordinate the provision of essential medicines and medical supplies for church owned health facilities in the country. Over the years, with strong commitment and support from the founding bodies and

As a way of repositioning the company for greater productivity, the organization metamorphosed in the year 2000 to its current status as CHAN Medi-Pharm Limited by Guarantee.

CHAN MEDI-PHARM is responsible for bulk procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables and provision of other pharmaceutical management support services such as training in rational drug use, inventory management and sustainable drug revolving fund schemes.

CHAN MEDI-PHARM has been championing the promotion of access to essential medicines and healthcare in general especially for vulnerable populations, running one of the most robust medical commodity logistics distribution infrastructures in the country.

CHAN Medi-Pharm has since expanded the scope of its services to include among others the provision of Procurement Supply Management (PSM) backbone for various donor funded healthcare projects in Nigeria and Health-related Grant Management.

CHAN Medi-Pharm currently has an effective number of staff operating from its head office in Jos and three (3) zonal offices in Lagos, Owerri, and Numan.
