POSITION SUMMARY

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of monitoring and data systems for the REACH Project in Sokoto State. The role ensures that project performance data is accurate, timely, and actionable, enabling evidence-based decision-making and accountability to Gavi, CHAN, and beneficiaries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and operationalize the project’s M&E framework aligned with Gavi’s indicators.
  • Oversee routine data collection, quality assurance, and reporting from health facilities and outreach sites.
  • Conduct Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and maintain clean databases.
  • Facilitate baseline, midline, and endline assessments, and coordinate operational research.
  • Produce high-quality analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Build M&E capacity of field teams and health facility staff on data tools and reporting systems.
  • Ensure integration of REACH data with national health information systems (NHMIS/DHIS2).
  • Promote adaptive learning and cross-state performance reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Demography, Epidemiology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive M&E experience in public health or immunization program.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, or Excel) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated familiarity with donor-funded programming (Gavi, USAID, Global Fund, etc.).
  • Fluency in English and working knowledge of Hausa.
