- HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT)
- Prevention Activities. These include
- Behavior-based prevention through activities that promote Abstinence and Be Faithful (AB) messages.
- Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission(PMTCT), which includes HCT for pregnant women, ARVs for those testing positive to prevent transmission to their babies, and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) for their newborns - among other services.
- Treatment. These include both Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART); which is the provision of Anti-Retroviral Drugs (ARVs), and treatment of Opportunistic Infections (OIs).
- Care and Support Services. This includes both drug and nutrition therapies to prevent opportunistic infections and build the immune system, as well as the provision of compassionate Home-Based Care (HBC). It also involves the care and support of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs); which are children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS, or who are at the risk of losing one or both parents to AIDS.
